The bookworm in me was hit when I happen to juggle between various roles. Software Engineer, Home maker, and mother, all through the role change, one thing remained constant. I endlessly craved to connect with my lost world but this time not only as a voracious reader but also as a trail blazer who is keen to bring back the old culture of book reading. with the growing technology and vast availability of contents, readers are missing the art of savouring the real book, sharing it with various people, making a discipline of reading often and most importantly visiting a sanctum spot “LIBRARY”.

With this dictum, I mustered to think towards my passion. Few years later, April 2019,” The spider Library” opened it shutters and welcomed people of Rajakilpakkam as the pioneer -lending Library in the locality. We have the typical lending library norms. Membership cards, books for reading in rotation, suggestion box and above all warm and a cosy space surrounded by books, quotes, and serenity to dive into your chosen book world.

Not only that we also conduct various story telling sessions and collaborative workshops like public speaking, brainstorming sessions, and writing workshop. A special recognition ”Reader of the month” program is in place to encourage children to read!
