கிடை- கி.ராஜநாராயணன்(குறுநாவல்) கி.ரா தமிழில் மிக முக்கிய எழுத்தாளர்களில் ஒருவர்.. அவரின் "கதவு" சிறுகதையை வாசித்திருக்கிறேன்.. கிடை என்கிற குறுநாவலை வாசிக்கும் போது முதல் 5 -6 பக்கங்கள் நமக்கு மட்டு படவில்லை.. பிறகு அவர் மொழிநடை நமக்கு புரிய புரிய .. சிறு சிறு ஆச்சரியங்கள் இருக்கவே செய்கின்றன..  60 பக்கங்கள் கொண்ட இந்தக் குறுநாவல் .. உறுதியாக நம்முள் ஒர் உணர்வை கடத்தும் இந்தக் கதையின் இன்னொரு வடிவம் தான் Netflixயில Lust stories ..Zoya Akhtar இயக்கிய கதை போல எனக்கு தெரிந்தது..

Awesome place for book lovers. They have a very good collection of books especially for kids. Good ambience. They have Tamil books collection as well. Magazines are available too. Co-operative staff. Very nominal plans. They conduct interactive sessions like group reading session for kids frequently.

The more local you become, the more universal you are. This adage aptly describes Ki. Rajanarayanan's award winning novel "Gopalla Gramam". The novel vividly paints a picture of a community in one of the remotest villages in South Tamilnadu, their culture, wisdom, occupation etc. This is set in a time when India was yet to be taken over by the British but the east India company has already started influencing the policies. The people are so real and not just caricatures. The mundane every day happenings in their life is so interesting. I am eagerly waiting to read the sequel Gopallapurathu makkal. Ki.Ra is a celebrated, contemporary author, 98 years old who is still active in his writing endeavours. Please don't miss this book.
